Patrick Street |
|
|
Patrick Street is considered an Irish supergroup,
whose musical heritage dates straight back to The
Bothy Band (Kevin Burke) and Planxty (Andy Irvine).
Their recent album "On the Fly" marks the Patrick
Street debut of respected multi-instrumentalist John
Carty. Many of the band’s new tunes are rooted in the
rhythmic ebb and flow of the swift, rolling rural
music of County Sligo music on which both Carty and
Burke were raised. Now considered two of the finest
fiddlers of their generations, they team up for some
thrilling sets of tunes, alongside the bouzouki and
vocal of Planxty veteran Andy Irvine and the guitar of
Ged Foley.
Tickets: £13.50 Discount of £5 off combined price of
both
shows if also booking for Solas (6 June)
