Back by popular demand, Waterside Open 2010 was launched on 29 January and showcases a wide ranging array of contemporary art and craft from established and emerging artists and makers.

Waterside Open is a unique exhibition featuring an extraordinarily diverse range of art forms. Techniques used include paint, animation, textiles, ceramics and sculpture.

This is a collection of very high quality artwork artists from the North West and across the UK. The work has been especially selected by a panel of judges, including iconic muralist, Walter Kershaw and renowned textile artist, Alice Kettle. Five cash prizes were awarded and prize-winners were announced at a special preview event on Thursday 29 January.

Visitors to the exhibition also have a chance to vote for their favourite piece of artwork in the Visitor’s Choice Award, sponsored by GM Business Group.

This is a one-off opportunity to view some of the best artwork this country has produced. A chance that should not be missed!

The exhibition will run until 1 May 2010.
